HOW TO VOTE BY ABSENTEE BALLOT

Here are the steps to take to vote absentee:  
1.   Contact the Marion County Clerk’s office by phone or in person to request an absentee ballot 
       application.
2.   Upon receipt, complete, sign and date the application and return it to the Marion County Clerk’s office.
3.   Requesting of Absentee ballots has begun and will be continued through Wednesday, May 8, 2024 in the order in which requests were received.
4.   Completed ballots may be returned by mail in the envelope included in the absentee ballot package,
       delivered in-person to the County Clerk’s office at the Courthouse, or delivered to your polling place
       on Election Day.
NOTE:  IF YOU REQUEST AND RECEIVE AN ABSENTEE  BALLOT AND  INSTEAD CHOOSE TO VOTE IN PERSON, THE UNMARKED PAPER BALLOT MUST BE RETURNED TO THE COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE OR YOUR POLLING PLACE ON ELECTION DAY. FAILURE TO RETURN THE PAPER BALLOT  WILL RESULT IN YOUR VOTE BEING PROVISIONAL.   A PROVISIONAL VOTE MAY OR MAY NOT BE INCLUDED IN OFFICIAL   RESULTS.
